Craig Felhandler has been a part of the financial advisory community for the past 27 years. Craig graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1994 with a degree in Political Science, minoring in Communications. Upon graduation, Craig started his financial consulting journey with Dean Witter Reynolds, where he gained the opportunity to train at the World Trade Center in New York City. It was from this experience that he obtained the tools to build his foundation as a financial advisor.
After working in a few different offices over the years, Craig branched out and decided to leave his position at LPL Financial and start his own financial advisory office. Since then, he has used the knowledge and experience he’s gained from each opportunity to create an energetic and vibrant environment at Felhandler Financial.
From 9/11 and the 2008 crash to Covid in 2020, Craig has helped his clients through many tough times. When the impossible doesn’t seem possible, that’s when Felhandler Financial really shows its value. Craig likes to think of every opportunity, good or bad, as a learning opportunity that he can share with his clients. It’s important for him to stress that a positive situation can come out of a negative one, much like the financial opportunities presented as a result of the global pandemic of 2020.
Over the past 4 years, Craig has donated his time to several fire stations and Union groups in the Metro Detroit area. He takes the time to understand their jobs—the stress, the danger, and the difficulty—in order to provide them with the financial advice they need. This part of the job is one that Craig says is the most gratifying opportunity.
Although he is passionate about his career as a financial advisor, Craig’s number one passion is fatherhood. He resides in Birmingham, Michigan, where he is raising his two children.
